Claims Procedures
Confirm that the shippers manifest agrees with what you were told to pick up.
Always verify count, when you sign your bill of lading, you are confirming that you have received the correct count and at the correct temperature, when you sign you are responsible.
To avoid shifting during transit, use at least two load locks on van or refrigerator load.
Check the pulp temperature of the freight on refrigerated loads to confirm the transit temperature and contact your dispatcher if there is a problem.
We request drivers contact their dispatcher daily with location, ETA, van and pulp temperatures for reefers.
Contact your dispatcher immediately if there any problems that will cause a delay in delivery or harm the quality of the shipment and if there is any dispute upon delivery.
When in doubt… CALL your dispatcher, in many cases this action can avoid or minimize a potential claim.
